Foundational Literacy & Numeracy
INVITING ALL STAKEHOLDERS
Attaining Foundational Literacy and Numeracy is the most
important cornerstone of India's New Education Policy and in the
SDG4. The problem is vast. Existing solutions are not enough.
Day 4 of the conference will explore alternative ways to scale up
literacy through a people’s movement that use speed up methods
of learning in a time bound mission engaging all segments of
society under the leadership of the government in a time-bound
mission for the foundational literacy of children out of school,
children within schools and adults who are illiterate.
The case study of Global Dreamshaala shall be explored as a zero
and near zero cost highly scalable literacy and numeracy program
that speed up learning these fundamental skills to within 30
hours. Other breakaway programs will be presented in
collaboration with heads of schools, policy makers, foundations,
